What the Nation is saying about the 2013 Mother Goose (G1)...

i do not want to bring up a touchy issue with many.this post is very sincere.i am wondering if anyone either saw this on a tweet or any social media outlet. fyi, in new york on off days. nyra streams simulcast races from around the country on one of the cable stations.the show is called raceday. this is the difficult part.on monday, one of the co-hosts said that he interacts with a pletcher assistant.he told him that the reason DOJ got spooked was that she got scared by a motorcycle.when he asked his co host richard migliore to comment. he said he never heard of it and would seriously doubt it. until someone else confirms if this really happened,i will not buy into it.but it did occur on the show.it was not an april fools type prank.also pletcher being highly respected in NY and the show sponsored by NYRA. i seriously think they would be pulling a prank of this nature. leads you to believe the comment may of been said.so i ask ,has anyone else heard this through a social media outlet.
When your older sister is a multiple Eclipse Award winner, you tend to come with expectations a bit more lofty than most. Perhaps these high hopes could say... prompt your connections to go straight from a maiden race to a grade 1 stakes test against one of the most highly regarded horses in the nat...Read More

  • Floridaf · I'm loath to get too excited about Carnival Court just yet. I was high on Empire Way after his maiden win, and 11 starts later, he still only has that maiden win to his credit. I'll keep an eye on CC for sure, but I won't get excited until she actually does something. · 300 days ago ·

  • CauseForConcern · 1-for-4 going two turns. Though this was a one-turn race, couldn't touch her at 1-5. Distance doesn't seem to be her problem, for she was running, when it was too late. Maybe she can come around? If so, hopefully her odds will be more to my liking. · 301 days ago ·

  • buds · I wish we could get some graded stakes that would attract more than 5 horses. With such small fields even the longshots are 8-1. I cant wait until the BC preps are in full swing. · 303 days ago ·

I can't give up on DOJ just yet. POS my have taken her spot as my personal favorite - but when she is good, she is very, VERY good.
