  • Sullivan · Considering I have not posted 25 times my picks, your information is unsubstantiated. I made a good bit of money this weekend on Comma to the Top and Beholder. Well, "I" made it, really my father as I was away in New York and therefore unable to post my picks or watch the majority of the events on the card live. · 43 days ago ·

  • bettorthanlucky · I picked Close Hatches (Mott is still scratching is head about her performance) after I saw the way she handled Princess of Sylmar in the Gazelle... I saw POS with those huge strides and I could not believe Hatches put her away so easily... Watching the Oaks I saw POS run by everyone and looking like she could run all day... I guess I'm wondering which is the real Close hatches? · 43 days ago ·

Since closing with a furious late rush to finish fourth in a 5 ½ furlong state-bred race at Penn National in her career debut, Princess of Sylmar has come a long way, baby. From modest beginnings, can a Kentucky Oaks champion come? I have reason to believe that the answer may be yes, and at most att...Read More

My final thoughts on the OAKS: I have landed on CLOSE HATCHES. The Bill Mott trained filly caught my eye on the first day and has not disappointed on any day since. There is something about her that screams quality. From her morning gallops to the dynamite solo half mile, she has done nothing wrong....Read More

I think Close Hatches Gazelle win was the best prep for the K.Oaks. Not as visually stunning as DOJ, but she battled the length of the stretch and won drawing off in the final 16th. That is a game game filly. Since Juddmonte pulled Emollient out of the oaks and Close Hatches is in....She is my pick no questions asked. $50 WP on her.
  • vodkak · Well you're right about not as visually stunning as DOJ. Her late pace figures are slow-slow. Her final one eight was over 14 sec; DOJ was 12.85 sec. I have her 5th. · 48 days ago ·
