What the Nation is saying about the 2013 Jim Dandy (G2)...

Palace Malice has turned the corner, and must now demonstrate that he is not only ready to assume the role of leader of this crop, but also that he is ready to handle a fine field of olders. Read More

  • Floridaf · It's easier to be cocky about a football game than it is to be cocky about a horse race. So much can go wrong (or right in the case of a longshot) that literally anything could happen. Add in a race where any number of horses could legitimately win, and yea...Anyway. Flat Out. Plain and simple. He runs this thing. · 204 days ago ·

  • dani.pugh · He has two very good shots in a top three year old and older male. I'd take those shots too. He also has a horse that was a group one turf winner, at this distance, who can apparently run on dirt, so again, why not give him the shot? Baffert I think overenters sometimes. Entering some that don't really have a legit shot. Pletcher's three all have good reasons as to why they are in this race. · 204 days ago ·

  • ruffianlover · It's not that he is not getting any love. It's just that he is throwing away his chance to win 3yo honors (well not him but his owners). I just gave him some love! haha I said he has a good chance to hit the board in the Classic ( I don't think he will win but I wouldn't be surprised if he got third). I see him doing better than Orb honestly. But I just think him not running in the JCGC gives Orb and PM a much better advantage over him should they win, place or show · 211 days ago ·

Palace Malice did what I thought he was going to do. I didn't get a chance to gloat, along with Rafi and the others who knew Palace Malice was going to take it. My son was being Baptized as the race was going on, so I did not get to see it or watch a replay yet. What happened to Mylute?

  • travel_vic · Tracks, just about all of them, have energy profiles. Horses kicking ass at Philly fade at Belmont, horses doing well at Gulfstream oddly do well here at Woodbine because the energy pratmeters are close...The Fair Grounds continues to produce all these late running locals that FAIL miserable when shifted to an earlier track....You have to know the energy heirarchies to be prepared for the shippers · 264 days ago ·

  • travel_vic · odds at post will tell the tale of who to support, but based upon Morning Line they stack up thus: 8 Mylute A- 2 Code West B+ 5 Palace Malice F 4 Moreno A+ 1 Bashaar . The letter after the ranking is the suggested value of the wager on them IF they stayed at morning line levels and they were no scratches so this is maleable to the current odds right up until post time. · 266 days ago ·

Call me crazy, but I think the big long shot, Perfect Title has a real shot in today's Jim Dandy.
I think Mylute pulls off the win today. Everyone is getting hypnotized by these other horses who just aren't in the same class as PM and Mylute.
Code West tracks Moreno, pounces and holds off Palace Malice for the win.
Win Palace Malice Place Mylute Show Code West 4th Perfect Title
After being torn between 4 horses, I'm putting the scrappy Code West on top with Mylute a close 2nd.
Palace Malice.. Will Take Charge..Mylute
