What the Nation is saying about the 2013 Hong Kong Sprint (G1)...

Lord Kanaloa wins with ease in the Hong Kong Sprint. Jwala apparently collapsed on the track. Waiting for more details

  • AmbitiousD · The Incident report was released for the fall involving Jwala. I couldn't figure out a way to copy the link, but if you click on this, and then select the article entitled "8 December 2013 Sha Tin Race Meeting - Race 5 (225) - The LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint" You can read it. http://www.hkjc.com/english/corporate/racing_news.asp · 129 days ago ·

Lord Kanaloa thoroughly outclassed his international competition and delivered a scintillating performance to claim the Longines Hong Kong Sprint in breathtaking style.Read More

  • travel_vic · Dead heats are rare enough but a triple is pure random luck...The placing judges are very particular on calling a dead heat and often have the image enlarged and reduced multiple times before calling one (unless it is for 8th or something and does nor represent a parimutuel payout). They are often sticklers for the photo representation as well because SOME photos, where the two horses are not close to one another (one in lane one and the other in lane 6 or so) are VERY HARD to represent. Twice in my five year career as photo finish tech, we have had owners request a direct viewing of the photos right off the computer as they were not convinced...Remember anyway, that according to the rules of racing the judges evaluation IS FINAL. · 130 days ago ·

My Hong Kong Sprint super-fecta prediction: 1st-Lord Kanaloa 2nd-Sterling City 3rd-Lucky Nine 4th-Slade Power.
  • AmbitiousD · I wouldn't be surprised to see Sterling City sneak away with this one. I saw home run in person early in his career and was blown away by his toughness. I really hope he can win it · 134 days ago ·
