Oxbow has really nice odds. Track still listed as fast. I'll bet Oxbow $20 Win, $60 Place.... I'm up $80 on the day, after a hit in the Amsterdam, so if I lose I'll be even. I don't like Verrazano, I never have, and I think he'll falter with the early pace... We'll see if he can prove me wrong. Oxbow at 3-1 is a gift, so I'll take it. Wager not official yet, I have to see how his odds end up with 1 minute to post, and if it is sloppy I MIGHT cancel... but it looks like a bet on Oxbow for me.

  • Sullivan · Monmouth and Saratoga are 2 of 4 tracks which make up the "loose surface group", them being Suffolk and Belmont as well. I think this is because they all have a higher percentage of sand in them. · 1519 days ago
Hope you all had a great racing weekend. I have been off the site for two days so I am sure I missed a whole bunch. Just wanted to say I was wrong about the Haskell. Verrazano looked good. I do think his win is a bit overblown but this win did put him back into contention with Palice Malice, Orb and Oxbow as the 4 best 3 yr olds. Right now I would put him at 3 right behind orb. I think the Dandy victory pushed Palace Malice ahead of Orb as the front runner.
hello jay,icy and laz.it was agret day of racing.the weather held up,saw many old friends.things did not go as hoped with vyjack.at least he came back in 1 pc.unfortunately, the same could not be said for my friend Patrick Byrnes' horse Take Charge Indy. Lisa and i were in the paddock area along with managing director Elliot Walden and the owners.Enthusiasm and confidenc was there.Lisa and i watched the race from the winners circle with Byrne. The devastation i saw in my friends eyes first hand will stay with me for a while.it is terrible when any horse goes down,be it a claimer or stakes competitor. Unfortunately after such a fun day the rest of the way. This is the memory that has haunted me the most. The owners and Todd deserve congratulations, hopefully now the doubters will be impressed by his performance and stop critiquing that he never beat anyone. they were sitting in the next box to us,i gave them our congratulations.they are truly great people .wished them the best.
Johnny V does it again with Rosie second. Gary Stevens tried to steal it again but Verrazano caught him and won.
Going with Power Broker, Oxbow. Micromanage and Pick Of The Litter

Looking for Verrazano to hang a big, emphatic L on Oxbow and prove he's the cream of this crop
Micromanage with Bravo will WIN
I think Oxbow will win this race.
Power Broker is back in the Haskell and will not go to WV! Chief Havoc is also in the race so yeah Oxbow and Verrazano will have all they can handle!

Wow, will be a great race.
Five weeks until one of my favorite races, the Haskell. My early prediction is for Power Broker to upset Verrazano.
