Trainer Aidan O'Brien has taken Camelot out of contention for Saturday's G1 Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown, leaving Coolmore with 2 horses still entered. They have Mars listed as "probable" and G1 Queen Anne Stakes winner, Declaration of War, listed as "possible". It figures to be a smallish 6 or 7 horse field, but we have the top 3 finishers of the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes last month at Ascot reopposing each other in Al Kazeem, Mukhadram, & The Fugue, along with G1 Prix Ganay winner Pastorius. Trainer William Haggas says he's excited at the chance for Mukhadram to get another shot at Al Kazeem, but now that she has that first run under her belt this season, I think The Fugue may be the big danger to Al Kazeem on Saturday.
  • Northport · If Al Kazeem continues as he has been running, I can't see anyone getting past him, but Declaration of War had a wicked closing kick in the Queen Anne · 1254 days ago
  • ILuvTurfRacing · @Northport, I've said a few times I suspect Declaration of War may be an even better horse when he's racing at 10f than he is at a mile. · 1254 days ago
