  • AnneShaw · After the interview with her owners and connections following the BC I was completely turned off. Tiger was on lead. Ria didn't have to take such a close path. Just like in basketball, she drew a foul if indeed there was one. I can't wish her well except for good health which I hope they all are. · 162 days ago ·

  • tmallios1 · Anne you will not have to worry about her. These Eric Guilliot wannabees just talked all through the winter to get print. I thought they were doing it to put her in the limelight and increase her value. I think they were trying to sell a piece or all of her. When nobody bit, they withdrew their plans to face the boys and are now pointing to the filly Stake. You are correct, they did not take the high road after the race. But as Bill Parcells always says. You are who you are. · 162 days ago ·

  • ekindy · @Ruffianlover I think the differences are greatly exaggerated. Remember Princess took some time off after the Oaks as well. Princess ran exactly one more race for the year than Beholder, and ran exactly one more race than Beholder between the Oaks and the Distaff. Yes it's a difference but it's not so much of a difference that you take the award away from Beholder. And also remember Princess stayed home when other contenders (in fact ALL other Oaks runners if I am not mistaken) ran in March prep races. Are we going to discount her Oaks victory because of that? · 165 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · EP Taylor, on this point I couldn't agree more. For a person like myself who handicaps primarily from a pace stand point the race run by Mucho Macho Man was easily the best of the day, possibly any day this year anywhere. Others have their speed ratings which were 108 from Brisnet and 112 from Beyer. I had MMM at 117. Naturally this is JMO, but that was for myself the best race of the year on dirt. Considering he ran on the pace with a meltdown at the end allowing WTC and DOW to contest is was just fantastic. This is purely from the perspective of a fan, even though I did wager on him and Fort Larned, I can and do wager totally without prejudice. · 240 days ago ·

  • amino998 · I lost track, did Ron Anderson, Angel et al ever manage to get the 1 jockey per agent rule in NY overturned? Maylan had several good years until this one, maybe a change of scenery in Miami. Or is she a terror on the Aqueduct Salt Flats? Who is her agent, anyway? · 247 days ago ·

  • tmallios1 · Anne,i was just looking at the Jeuvenile filly race. After your concerns on the fast works,i wanted to look into her .She is doing nothing that she has not done before,if anything she looks to be coming into this race stronger. Notice she ran on 8/31,then she was idle in her works ubtil 9/21. One week prior to her race.Leads me to believe Bonde was not as concerned with the Stake she ran in on 9/28. He had her sharp, but not on tilt. Note the difference in the workout pattern now. Only gave her 2 weeks after the race and at 5 F. Then came back one week later with a proggressive work to 6F. I would assume that she should have 1 more workout in her. Should come around 10/26. I am not familiar with Bondes' training patterns.More than likely, this should be a maintanance work. But one never knows, this filly looks like she has 2 gears.Fast and Faster. It will take a special filly to beat her. Also i was told by my buddies who are at the track every morning for the works in NY.Artemis was not good in her last work out.Quoting them, she was Obscenely good.Did it all on her own.So no worries here with Tiger. My concerns would be if she stopped throwing those bullets. · 261 days ago ·
