  • icyhotboo · EP Taylor, on this point I couldn't agree more. For a person like myself who handicaps primarily from a pace stand point the race run by Mucho Macho Man was easily the best of the day, possibly any day this year anywhere. Others have their speed ratings which were 108 from Brisnet and 112 from Beyer. I had MMM at 117. Naturally this is JMO, but that was for myself the best race of the year on dirt. Considering he ran on the pace with a meltdown at the end allowing WTC and DOW to contest is was just fantastic. This is purely from the perspective of a fan, even though I did wager on him and Fort Larned, I can and do wager totally without prejudice. · 156 days ago ·

If Romantica's trainer is accompanying her I'm all in

  • woodbine-based handicapper · After much thinking, I'll go with Romantica. She loves the distance. She competed against very good horses. Her connections are also fantastic! Hopefully, she'll be around 5-1 or even higher odds! · 167 days ago ·

  • Euro Trash · If I were betting I would go with Romantica also. Her last race was deceptive as she does not really act on soft turf. Her figures are as good without Lasix as Dank's with Lasix. · 166 days ago ·

  • ILuvTurfRacing · Even with the rail draw, if she runs back even close to how she's ran in the Dahlia Stakes, Duke of Cambridge Stakes, & Kilboy Estate Stakes in Europe, and of her course her Beverly D. Stakes run in America, I think Dank is gonna take some beating. It won't be the first time Ryan Moore has had to negotiate a rail draw on favorite in a race of this magnitude. That being said, if Dank should happen to be off of her game in the least then I think the former Coolmore owned filly, Laughing, has a really big shot. 8-1 looks an awfully big price on a filly that's won her last 4 races, 2-G1's, 1-G2, & 1-G3. Andre Fabre's filly, Romantica, is also one of the most talented filly/mares in the field, but as I mentioned earlier my hesitancy about backing her in this race is that most of her best form in France came with a bit more cut in the ground than she'll likely see on Saturday. But still, you can't entirely discount Romantica getting a piece of this race with Andre Fabre at the healm. · 169 days ago ·

Going with Laughing and Tiz Flirtacious.
I cant claim to be the bigest turf fan, but the 2 big turf races are shapping up to be awesome races. Both the f&m turf and the turf are loaded with potential winners. Im thinking the Fugue will go toward the turf with the boys, leaving Dank, Tizflurtatous, marketing mix, laughing and a few others fighting it out.
