What the Nation is saying about the 2012 Santa Anita Derby (G1)...

  • TimSmith · She has to enter and win the races though.. its tricky has stats to back up hype...RD need to run in and win 2-4 races depending on which ones to pass IT · 644 days ago ·
  • Floridaf · Royal Delta has had a light campaign this year. She was fantastic in the Fleur de Lis, but Mott needs to pick it up if he has any hopes of his filly earning another championship. · 644 days ago ·
One thing that is for sure, is that if I’ll Have Another does not get the respect he deserves going into the 2012 Belmont, should he win, taking the Triple Crown, he should go down as one of the most respected Triple Crown winners in the history of the series.Read More

  • lynn.nely · I have respect for all the horses in the world. Think they are the greatest animal on this earth. I respect I'll Have Another although my pick was Bode. I do hope that we have a triple crown winner and expect that we will. He has the speed and the stimula to do it. This has been in the making for a very long time and I am looking so forwarded in seeing history being made again. Good Luch I'll Have Another in you races and becoming the new Triple Crown Winner. · 696 days ago ·
  • Capper · I think its pretty cool that he's never been favored in any of his races, but yet he's going for the triple crown. · 693 days ago ·

  • Buckpasser · I thought this was quite interesting about Gemologist. Winstar farms has their Derby game and they have something where you can be a Winstar mate and you get certain perks for being a member. It seems that one of the perks is to name a Winstar foal. Well one of the fans who is a Winstar stable mate actually named Gemologist. I thought that was interesting · 725 days ago ·
  • RaymondSmith · Classic west coast talking bad about the east coast instead of talking good about your self. Also a classic tactic of someone who is going to lose. East coast horses have the pedigree and skill to go the distance. · 725 days ago ·
i'm the son of the part owner and i know this horse has got something spacil

  • Eclipse First · Looking like a better crop of three year-old colts than most we have seen of late, and potentially the best betting Derby in some time. I will be perfectly willing to let the odds dictate this one. If Gemologist is underlaid due to undefeated record and high-profile connections, will stay away; ditto Take Charge Indy w/ Borel up. Obviously we need to see who actually makes it to the gate--and post draw--but could envision as many as half a dozen legit contenders at playable odds on Derby day, including I'll Have Another, Went the Day Well, Daddy Longlegs, Alpha, Mark Valeski, and Wrote. And I see Genady Dorchenko plans to toss Hero of Order in the Bluegrass--what do you do if he runs another big one @ Keeneland? Should make for some whopping exotic payouts at this year's Derby! · 736 days ago ·
The West Coast 3-year-olds completed their path to Kentucky Derby 2012 on Saturday and I’ll Have Another got the bob over Creative Cause in the 75th running of the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby.
