Capper · Its going to be tough to defeat Union Rags & El Padrino, but don't forget that Take Charge Indy ran a winning race when 2nd to El Padrino and will be laying it all on the line as he needs this race to get enough earnings to make the race, whereas the other 2 are safely in the field. · 416 days ago ·

Regardless of the placing, this was a decent effort as he exited a mile maiden win with a much more stern test. DanielWard · I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the icredible success this meeting of horses training at Hollywood Park and then shipping to run at Santa Anita. Escpecially in the stakes races, for example, Ultimate Eagle, I'll Have Another, Include Me Out, Teddy's Promise, The Factor, Compari, Unzip Me, Out Of Bounds, Willa Be Awesome, Mr. Commons and many more. It's a strong argument for getting horses legged up on cushion track and then being able to run on any surface. · 466 days ago ·

Or what about Game On Dude's fast easy win in the San Antonio after training at Santa Anita? But, I did notice that the Hollywood Park conditioning may have helped Seeking Solace win that photo over favored Mint Humor on Sunday. That one hurt just a little. Hope the HP training success works out for my fav Sway Away, and helps your horses, too. · 466 days ago ·

DanielWard · If that was true Ultimate Eagle would have been favored over Tapizar, I'll Have Another was 43-1 and Willa Be Awesome was also a longshot. Apart from the recent performances I know that we have sent many horses directly from Hollywood Park to race all over the country with considerable success. Blind Luck to Churchill, Delaware Park, Tuscan Evening to Arlington, Dakota Phone to Churchill. All of these examples trained at Hollywood and shipped very close to the race, usually with only a couple days to jog or gallop on the new surface and then a return home right after. · 466 days ago ·

Mary Z. · Daniel, over the past few weeks some picks of mine have been upset winners. Frumious, pure speed at 7f., and Out Of Bounds coming from behind at 1m. So those are two examples of horses that trained at Hollywood Park that were not favorites to win at Santa Anita. I'll keep that in mind when attempting to handicap, but I won't rule out horses that train at Santa Anita because I think some do just fine training and running there. I had another question, there have been come from behind winners, such as Out Of Bounds, but do you still feel that there is a speed bias at Santa Anita making it that much more difficult for a closer?If so, is it worse than last year? · 466 days ago ·

In his previous he ran 2nd in a 1 1/8 race at gulstream which is a hard post to win from at that distance.I read Kenneally told Leperoux that he ran a winning race but lost because of a bad trip(racing luck)thats why his odds were 9-2 instead of morning line of 12-1

Think he gets a stalking inside trip here, but if runs at GP, I'll lean with Prospective since he has a race over the track, even though he was really grinding to beat a field, in which only 1 other competitor returns in this race. · 472 days ago ·
