What the Nation is saying about the 2012 Remsen (G2)...

Win one, lose one. Win another, lose another. It would appear that Overanalyze purchased a one-way ticket to Inconsistentville. On the other hand, he just might be ready to pull off a Belmont Stakes surprise. Since his career debut on August 9, the Repole runner has a perfect win-every-other-start r...Read More

The letter "V" stands for, among other words, Victory. In the horse racing world, especially in trainer Todd Pletcher's stable, "V" stands for Violence and Verrazano. Two horses, who have been victorious for the 45-year old conditioner in 4 combined races. Three wins for the former and one win for t...Read More

  • annmatt · Maybe so, but I would rather see Dale Romans who has had a spectacular season get the Eclipse for Trainer. A statistic I would be more interested in seeing would be the percentage of horses that get to the races and wind up ITM. Pletcher has an abundance of trainees, so, theoretically, he should be at the top of the lists every year. Other trainers do a lot more with less, it seems to me. If you are looking for quality and not quantity, Dale Romans wins it hands down. JMHO · 155 days ago ·

  • shadowno · The Sigmund Sommer stable was a leading $$$ winner throughout the decade of the 70's. He had a boatload of top horses including Sham< Autobiography, Never Bow, Big Shot and Prince Dantan. Left an estate of 1 Billion 1979 dollars. Sommer and Pancho Martin were among the main faces of NY racing so it was a hell of a lot more than luck going for them. Highly ignorant and disrespctful to paint Sigmund Sommer as a flash in the pan. · 174 days ago ·
