The confirmation stage for the Arc was completed on Tuesday morning and there are now 18 horses presently left in the field for Sunday's Arc. Although Prix Du Jockey Club and Prix Niel winner, Saonois is due to be supplemented into the field on Thursday morning. Danedream is now officially out of this year's Arc field. I have the 18 horses who came through the confirmation phase on Tuesday morning plus the one 1 horse to be supplemented all listed now on the stakes tracker for the Arc.

  • karen.sweatman.9 · What a shame, I was so much hoping Danedream would repeat her ARC victory. I know why the sport can not attract new fans. It's 10% thrills and 90% disappointments. · 927 days ago

Trainer Ed Dunlop told AtTheRaces.Com on Monday that quote: "He thinks the recent spell of wet weather my force him to rethink his Prix De l' Arc Triomphe plans with Snow Fairy". He went on to say, "It's weather watch now and I believe we've got rain coming in. If it's going on in Paris then we won't be going." End quote. I hope the weather holds, because I'd love to see Snow Fairy get another shot at the Arc after how well she ran in the race a year ago. But if the weather doesn't cooperate, then it's looking like we won't be seeing Snow Fairy again until mid-October at Ascot for either the G1 Qipco Champions Stakes against the boys or the G2 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes.
