Really tight finish in the G1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown today, and a bit of controversy to go along with the finish. Duntle, recent winner of the G3 Desmond Stakes in Ireland and the Sandringham Handicap at Ascot actually crossed the wire first, a shoulder ahead of Chachamaidee. But there was a stewards inquiry and they determined that jockey Wayne Lordan cause interference aboard Duntle that would've kept Tom Queally aboard Chachamaidee from crossing the wire first. So Duntle was taken down as the winner and placed 2nd, and Chachamaidee promoted from 2nd place to winner of the G1 Matron Stakes.
