  • digidot · I would love to see how Groupie Doll would fair against Shack · 600 days ago ·
  • mkstorm · Shack seems to run well at Churchill, but he has won only one race beyond a mile. He'll probably face stiffer competition in the Cigar Mile, but he's never ducked competition before. So I think he should try the Cigar Mile. He'd love to see him win his last race. · 599 days ago ·
Shackleford looks to buck the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile trend and be the first favorite to conquer the Dirt Mile. Read More

  • Capper · I'm always wrong about Shackleford, we're like oil & water. He's shown the ability to survive torrid pace duals & come out the other side no worse for wear, where others in here have not, so looks like I'm going to be including him in my bets. · 614 days ago ·
  • travel_vic · This track will help his style tremendously. If he cannot win here, with that help, he is running too high · 614 days ago ·
You have to love Shackleford. Every time this horse runs, he never quits. He could be the next Forego, if that is possible.
On Super Saturday at Belmont Park, Jersey Town gave his connections a SUPER performance in the grade II Kelso Stakes to stamp his ticket to the “Golden State” for the grade I Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.Read More

  • AndyScoggin · Shackleford looked unusually calm and not sweaty in the paddock before the race. I think he was not quite right for whatever reason(s). · 647 days ago ·
  • Capper · I don't see Jersey Town taking his game on the road around 2 turns. I thought Shackleford ran well considering he was scratched last time he was entered & ran poorly before that. Especially considering there was moisture in the track & most are of the assumption he can't handle those type of tracks. · 645 days ago ·
Tapizar and Shackleford will duel up front and To Honor and Serve will pick up the peices and win.
Nagging foot issues have limited Jersey Town’s schedule in recent years, but trainer Barclay Tagg said the 6-year-old is entering Saturday’s Grade 2, $400,000 Kelso Handicap in the best shape since he won the 2010 Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap.Read More
  • Mary Z. · I wouldn't mind if Trickmeister pulled the upset today. I like THAS, too. · 648 days ago ·
  • travel_vic · that one would have to reach DEEP inside himself to pull it off. Saw him in the flesh before he broke his knee, at 3, and was impressed. Trickmeister could do it if unpressured but ONLY if he runs to the 4th line back also at Belmontd · 648 days ago ·

  • jay s. · Shackleford has a huge heart! I'm predicting his effort to be a neck better than To Honor and Serve. To Honor and Serve showed TREMENDOUS fight in the Woodward, but I have to stick with my main man Shackleford for the Dirt Mile. · 657 days ago ·
