Alpha signaled his readiness for the second half of the season Saturday at Saratoga Race Course as he returned from a 12-week layoff to post a wire-to-wire victory in the Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy, the traditional prep for the Grade 1, $1 million Travers on August 25.Read More
I knew Alpha would do it. Reminds me exactly of Stay Thirsty
Who do you like?
Teeth of the Dog and Liaison will be 1st and 2nd!
  • rafirox · I love Teeth of the Dog in this one, and Fast Falcon. I hope Neck n' Neck doesn't win because i betted TOTD, FF, Liasion in an exacta box. · 326 days ago ·

Jim Dandy: This group meeting of "2012 Second Tier 3YO's" is now in session. Alpha & Liaison are obvious and were considered "1st Tier" before the Ky Derby acid test. Hard to believe but I think Prospective is the best of this bunch. He's the only one that's won 3 stakes at 3 different venues since March. Having Johnny V available is always plus and at 12:1, why not?

Though concerned that the 1 1/8 miles of tomorrow’s Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy might be too short for Atigun, trainer Ken McPeek said that the Istan colt didn’t have to win to move on to the Grade 1, $1 million Travers on August 25.Read More
Field is set and it looks like Liaison's race to lose.

The decision could well go a long way in deciding the winner of not just one big race this weekend, but two. What’s it going to be, the Haskell or the Jim Dandy?Read More

  • forego139 · Gem is a cut below the best 3yr olds and needs to run in the Jim Dandy where the competition is more to his liking as for the Haskell Paytner is a complete stand out and is tearing down the barn ready to roll, the lightly raced son of EM is still improving and that thought alone is scary, cuold we be seeing another Ghostzapper in the making. · 328 days ago ·

  • Dressage3295 · I think everyone assumes that for Gem because he didn't do well in the Derby. IMO, I think it was too long of a distance and needs to stick around 1 1/8 mile · 328 days ago ·

Prospective and Arigun are the wild cards. I can't understand why Neck N' Neck is the second choice.
I like teeth here
Is this race going to be on TV other than HRTV & TVG?

Neck 'N" Neck is not "I 'll Have Another" although they have same Sire "Flower Alley"
Mr.Bob Baffert had also have Paynter and Bodemeister as an entry i Jim Dandy stakes, they have both scatched, so i am very much in doubt in my mind , why they have sratched? so Liaison ran in Kentucky Derby and placed 6th position, recently he was third Swaps Stakes coming from last, so i figure that Liaison is going to try utmost to get the Lim Dandy!
