What the Nation is saying about the 2012 Florida Derby (G1)...

The dust from the Derby has settled and it’s time for a little wrap up. I know I said I would never do this, I usually detest when this happens but really, it is time for some Monday morning quarterbacking. I usually try to stay loyal to the jockey, I assume that he gives the horse the best ride pos...Read More

  • AmbitiousD · Like the horse, love the trainer, not sold on the jockey. I'm still on the bandwagon, and its nice that there is elbow room now. He's still a good racehorse, he just needs some clean air to get that giant stride rollin · 22 days ago ·

It is unfortunate we have to do it, especially for the fans. But, there are actually website that make money, even farms, who have lifted images they had more than enough money to pay for. Again, I wish the situation were otherwise. Hope you still enjoy the images. · 57 days ago ·

What an awful ride by Leparoux. But a great run by TGI.

  • icyhotboo · The race was a tightner for the KD as far URs trainer was concerned and when he stated that before the race it sure made it easy to handicap. What did the great CB do? He rode the rail again, one move. The form showed UR is not a fast horse. I don't understand the bewilderment.Look at the steady improvement fromTCI, 2nd off shelf. Exactly where was the surprise? · 59 days ago ·

At a 1-9 price it's silly to put money on Union Rags... however News Pending is going at a great price and his last race at 1m 1/8 showed he can carry speed through the end... outside shot
Take... charge... indy. Wiring it at this distance, pretty impressive.
i think it's going to be a surprise

  • icyhotboo · If the odds pemit I'm going to throw in a 3/6/8 tri box. UR just needs a prep and EP needs 1st or 2nd, #3 has a lot of upside 2nd off layoff and EP being the fastest horse with about the same LP. Michael Matz may just be there for a tune up for KD even though the purse is big. On a personal note sadly I didn't win the lottery, I didn't even want 1st second for a million - taxes would've been just fine. I think I need another job due to the fact every doctor I go to has at least 3 friends who want to shake my hand for a couple hundred. · 60 days ago ·
