  • icyhotboo · I like the #2, just not today as I don't think he is anywhere close to form. #7 shows a classic performance prior to a big run today. #6 should improve and I do like Went The Day Well in the KD mix so he's logical. #3 is he just good or great, that last race was really a lot better than a 95 spd figure that's why I don't pay attention to sp figures as they are so subjective. That was a very good horse he beat who was going off at 1/5 by 10 lengths and he beat the rest by 10 lengths.A 1:16.4 at TP that's a big run. · 395 days ago ·

  • Mary Z. · I agree with you, icy, about not being able to ignore the speed of the 3. I've followed the 2 since before he started as he was one of those tried out without the L(but has since sadly added it.) Turf to dirt has paid off for me before, this time it's 5 mos. later for him. Then the 7 that can go ahead and use whatever speed he's got in this shorter race. Since we don't have much to go on with the 2, why not have another one up front? Finally the 6, at least consistent, has been this distance and should be around to close. · 395 days ago ·

If Morgan's Guerrilla wins, would he get a spot in the Derby since several horses are skipping the Derby.

I'm just gonna bet Castaway. I've spent too many hours handicapping trying to beat Bob's horses this Derby prep season. I will just take the easy route and bet him without handicapping.
Today's Derby contender works featured a five furlong move from G1 Santa Anita Derby runner-up Creative Cause. The Mike Harrington trainee beat subsequent G1 Arkansas Derby winner Bodemeister in the G2 San Felipe in March. Read More
I'm sad that Reveron will not be in the Lexington. I doubt he'll make the graded earnings cut at 20 without more cash in the bankroll. His trainer said he's take his chances but he may just miss the cut, and that is a shame because he's a really great horse who deserves to be in there.
Keeneland racing officials are looking for a field of perhaps 10 3-year-olds to run Saturday in the Coolmore Lexington Stakes, but with the apparent defection of Reveron, none of those horses has a realistic chance to make the Kentucky Derby field. Read More
