  • AndyScoggin · It was quite a meeting at Gulfstream. Seven likely Derby starters ran well at Gulfstream: Hansen, Union Rags, Dullahan, Gemologist, Take Charge Indy, Trinniberg, and Went the Day Well. · 29 days ago ·

  • Floridaf · Horse of the Meet is now officially included! Matt, it was a great meet, and I was fortunate enough to see both the Swale and the Gulfstream Park Handicap. Later this week I will likely have a piece up on the Derby chances of the seven colts you named. · 29 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · I believe you are voting for the best horse. In my opinion that would be AK as CP couldn't even get into the races AK comepeted in successfully. Classic horses alway get the nod, if Dr. Fager couldn't get the 1 1/4 mile he would have just been another miler in years where Damascus would have been hailed as "great." · 54 days ago ·

He emerged in the public eye last spring in the Florida Derby, winging along on the lead – big, fast and aggressive – and just getting beat by Dialed In at odds of 69-1. From that day on, if there was a major race in the country for 3-year-olds, Shackleford was likely in it. Read More

  • AmbitiousD · His toughness alone makes his stallion prospect valuable, especially in an age when back to back G1 wins as a 2yr old guarantee 20k stud fees. Not enough credit is given to toughness and heart. I love this horse, and the worst part of this article is that it stated he will be retired at the end of the year. · 54 days ago ·
