  • Floridaf · I don't think Questing beating MMA is written in stone. MMA likes the distance of the Cotillion, but I do agree that Questing is brilliant. · 250 days ago ·

  • dani.pugh · buds, notice I did say should she win it in the fashion of her last three. If she does not then ladies classic it is. If she does then I don't see how the thought can't be entertained, especially knowing the MMA likes this distance when Questing may prefer longer. · 250 days ago ·

  • AndyScoggin · I love the two year-olds. I got to see Dreaming of Julia, Kauai Katie, and My Happy Face win, so that was special. I think Archwarrior and Sign will make some noise down the road. My Miss Aurelia was superb, too! · 260 days ago ·

  • Capper · Brian, I thought you'd go with your boy Steamin' Willie Beamin as your horse of the meet. He's not the fast 3yo in his barn, I'd give Alpha the nod. 2 time G1 winner at the meet & part of only "official" dead heat in Travers history. · 260 days ago ·

The Grade 1 Alabama is expected to give clarity to the 3-YO Filly division, but what about the West Coast based Eden's Moon who is entered in the G1 Del Mar Oaks?Read More

  • Floridaf · As far as turf races go, Lady of Shamrock does have the advantage. She has a G3 win, a G2 place, and a G1 win all on turf; compare that to Eden's Moon's G2 turf win. As for the entire 3-YO filly division, Eden's Moon has the slight advantage, IMO. Of course, none of these fillies have multiple G1 wins, so if a G1 winner takes home one or both of the weekend's races, then she (or they) will automatically rocket to the top of the division. · 277 days ago ·

  • zenyatta-perfection personified · My pick, with my best girl now out, is Zo Impressive. I have debated this over and over in my mind, but I am going to stick with her. I like that she is ultra-consistent and (I think) just rounding into her best form. She is also by Hard Spun, who was just fine with 1 1/4 miles. (2nd in BC Classic and KY Derby, beaten by superstars in Street Sense and Curlin). Questing, of course, also has those genes, but I think she is still pretty green, just from the way she was drifting in the last race at the end. All this said, Grace Hall is going to be super tough to beat. I am just not picking her or cheering for her. I do think these three will be the top three, in the listed order. · 278 days ago ·

The Alabama (G1) looks like its going to be a great race. I like Grace Hall, Questing, and Believe You Can in no particular order. I do think though that Questing is the top 3YO Filly in training and I look for her to improve off her win in the CCA.
The champ is back. My Miss Aurelia overcame a bad break to put a little bit of intrigue into her 2012 return to racing. The undefeated, two-year-old filly champion made her debut at Saratoga in the $100,000 Mandy’s Gold, an overnight stake. Read More
