Favored Courageous Cat gamely held off Caracortado in the final eighth of a mile to win the $300,000 Shoemaker Mile Saturday at Hollywood Park.   The neck victory in the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In’’ event earned the 5-year-old son of Storm Cat and the Rahy mare Tranquility Lake a spot in...Read More
  • dubby30 · I found it amusing that P Val would make a statement guaranteeing that Courageous Cat would win the BC Mile, even if they brought that mare over" I would guess that mare he was referring to would be Goldikova. Very Amusing. · 690 days ago ·

  • medlocke · The last time I saw Courageous Cat race was last October when he finished 3rd behind Gio Ponti in the G1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keenland. Ran a very respectable race that day!! Also remember Courageous Cat running a very decent race at Meydan in the 2010 Dubai Duty Free that was won by Al Shemali. All of the American horses, I.E., Take The Points, Courageous Cat, and The Usual Q.T. all ran a decent Duty Free that year. C · 693 days ago ·

Victor’s Cry, who won the Shoemaker Mile as a 21-1 longshot last year, will earn more respect at the windows when he defends his title in the $250,000 Grade I turf test at Hollywood Park Saturday. But the 6-year-old ridgling will still have his work cut out for him. Read More
