What the Nation is saying about the 2011 Princess of Wales's Stakes (G2)...

Redwood finished 2nd behind Irish St Leger winner, Sans Frontieres, in last year's Princess of Wales Stakes at Newmarket. Which really put him on a roll from that point forward, the rest of the season. After the Princess of Wales, he won the G3 Glorious Stakes at Goodwood, finished 2nd in the G2 Grand Prix De Deauville. Then he went to Woodbine where he won the G1 Northern Dancer Stakes. The Redwood finished 3rd behind Joshua Tree in the G1 Pattison Canadian International Stakes. He then traveled to Hong Kong, where he finished 2nd to Godolphin's Mastery in the G1 Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin. Then began his 2011 season with a huge run, nearly clipping Rewilding in the G1 Sheema Classic. For like Redwood showed in the Hong Kong Vase or the Sheema Classic should be more than good enough to win the G2 Princess of Wales Stakes, IMO. Most likely to challenge Redwood, IMO, is the Sir Michael Stoute trained race-mare, Crystal Capella, who's won dual G2 Pride Stakes, and is 13-7-3-0 in her career.
