You know what, the LD this year is not going to be the producer of the KD winner on May 7th. Can it be that a horse that has no acceleration and can go 1 1/8 in 1:49.92 can go 1 1/4 miles in around 2:01? I don't think so!
  • ajump08 · Fair Grounds is a deep, slow sand track, and the track was playing pretty slow all day, so I wouldn't fret over the time. The New Orleans Handicap was less than a second faster. I believe the top 4 all ran good enough to be considered for some of the major races down the line. Mucho Macho Man lost a shoe, and Elite Alex was both too far back and rediculously wide. Cleaner trips for both could changed the outcome greatly. · 1946 days ago

At 10 minutes to post, the HRN Fan Odds are spot on: Macho is 8/5 and Elite Alex is 5/2.

  • Thead'or · Weak?WEAK?! The poor animal lost his shoe and a little bit of his hoof out of the starting gate. Its outstanding he could even finish third on 3 legs. · 1947 days ago
  • arazi · Didn't know about that. That explains the flat run through the stretch. · 1947 days ago
Machen will win.........
Wow, what a line-up! It'll be so fun to watch to see who comes out on top!
