You can probably guess from the title what three fillies I’m about to talk about; Sassy Image, Winter Memories and Éclair de Lune. Memorial Day weekend is always one of the most exciting few days in spring for racing enthusiasts, it ushers in the changing of the guard in a manner of speaking. Most o...Read More

Making her first appearance in a Grade I, Dubawi Heights won her fourth in a row, wearing down pacesetter Celtic Princess late to take the $250,000 Gamely Stakes by a head Monday at Hollywood Park.   A winner of the Grade III Wilshire Handicap in her initial start of the Spring/Summer meet, Du...Read More
  • medlocke · You've got Dubawi Heights, Hibaayeb, Aviate, Cheetah, and Dyna Waltz that have all been sent to America from racing in the UK, and all of them are really running terrific in America!! Can't blame the European connection's of these fillies at all. Because they were all running well in the UK also, but just hadn't quite been running well enough to win group or graded stakes in Europe. This isn't a knock at American fillies, but clearly the European fillies have been proving themselves to be superior to the American turf fillies so far this season. I.E., you have Aviate, Hibaayeb, and Dubawi Heights who have all won races in America on turf, and Cheetah and Dyna Waltz have placed on both turf and poly-track. You can't blame the Euro's for sending them over knowing they have really good shot at racking up graded stakes win's, plus really good $$$ in the U.S. JMO. · 364 days ago ·
