What the Nation is saying about the 2011 Flower Bowl Stakes (G1)...

It’s been a long, hard, and more than frustrating task to piece together the puzzle of Horse of the Year, but it seems that finally, at long last, the fog is clearing and leaders are emerging. Read More

  • Mike in SB · I thought Havre de Grace's win was the most impressive of the weekend by far, and with Flat Out winning the Gold Cup, she has to be the favorite for the Classic. Actually a lot of the Breeders Cup races are starting to look pretty good. Havre de Grace, Uncle Mo and the rest in the Classic makes it look like a better race now than it did a few months ago and the Ladies Classic looks wide open now. If the Arc Winner comes over and So You Think runs in the Classic this could be a very good Breeders Cup. · 594 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · Mike I completely agree about the Classic. The fact that you have some definitive stars now makes the race come up much better. I mean with the list of horses i said in my blog, there are what 6 grade one winner heading for the race? Makes it look much more competitive. · 594 days ago ·

A wide trip and a yielding turf course were no obstacles for Stacelita at Belmont as the filly notched her second consecutive Grade 1 victory with a commanding win in the Flower Bowl. Read More
Stacelita, a five-time Grade 1/Group 1 winner, looks to continue her stateside success in Saturday’s 1 ¼-mile Flower Bowl Invitational. In France, Stacelita won four Group 1 races, including the 2009 Prix de Diane (French Oaks). She made one start in her native country this year, finishing third in ...Read More
  • Rossington · Stacelita is absolutely a class race-mare on the turf!! In all honesty, she's been racing and beating tougher fillies and mares on the turf in France than what she's had to face thus far in America. I absolutely believe Stacelita will win the G1 Flower Bowl Stakes at Belmont this weekend, and will then very likely become favorite, or at the very least, co-favorite, for this year's BC F&M Turf!! I believe Dubawi Height's will win the G1 Yellow Ribbon Stakes and I also believe Cape Blanco will win the G1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic. Securing his third American G1 turf stakes in as many tries, and I think a win in the Joe Hirsch will likely make him favorite for this year's BC Turf!! TJMO. · 598 days ago ·
