  • Mike in SB · Did you see the interview with Andy Beyers in the Paulick Report? Because of the low Beyers speed figures for the prep races this year, he said this crop could be even worst than last year which he said was the weakest crop of 3 year olds in his lifetime. · 25 days ago ·

Trainer Bob Baffert struck for the sixth time in the CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park on Saturday, December 17 with Liaison.  The bay colt sat patiently on the rail behind vying leaders, swung three wide in the stretch and held off the late charge of Rousing Sermon by a neck, getting 1 1/16...Read More

The G1 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park on Dec 17 was the last major  Kentucky Derby 2012 prep of the current racing season and at this point I would say that it was not a strong renewal. CashCall Futurity (12-17-11) – 91 BSF (Liaison) I wrote a CashCall recap in my latest... Read More

  • ajump08 · Just pointing out some misinformation, this was not tied for the closest margin of victory for the races history. 2008's edition with Pioneerof the Nile and I Want Revenge dueling to the wire was a nose I believe in favor of he former. · 163 days ago ·

  • Floridaf · I was just talking about that with someone, likin sparks. After Drill's Jackpot, I didn't look twice at him for today. Both should definitely be reeled back to a mile or less. · 163 days ago ·

  • DeadHeat · I really do not see why they insist on having Drill contesting the pace. His best efforts have come while closing, so why the change? Liaison looks like an IC that may go long and being out of a Victory Gallop mare will only help. · 163 days ago ·

With 13 juveniles set to clash for the winner's share of the $750,000 CashCall Futurity, it is no wonder that there are several horses with attractive odds on the morning line. One such example and listed at 20-1 is Brother Francis. The James Cassidy trained chestnut colt brings only two career star...Read More

The Grade 1 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park gives 2012 Kentucky Derby hopefuls an opportunity to earn a nice chunk of change at the end of their juvenile campaigns. Morning line favorite Majestic City has already garnered $245,570 and tries to add to his bankroll on Saturday.Trainer Peter Miller...Read More
Saturday’s Pick 6 from Hollywood Park features the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity for 2-year-olds traveling a mile and a sixteenth on Cushion Track. Tepid morning line favorite Majestic City is 3-for-3 here but might be best sprinting. He removes the hood and attracts Dominguez. Sky Kingdom exits a sharp...Read More
I look for Empire Way to put in a better race this time out. Not sure if Majestic City can beat the BC bounce. Liaison looks strong, too.

Lucky Chappy, fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Churchill Downs on Nov. 5, contracted a fever on Tuesday and was not sent as planned to California for Saturday’s $750,000 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park. Liason, Rousing Sermon, and Brother Francis will have big days.
Our last look into the 2011 chrystal ball that is next year’s road to the Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brands presents itself Saturday in the $750,000 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park. Run in the shadow of the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, the CashCall Futurity has neither the $1…Read More
Liasion, looks pretty solid in this field. I'm also intrigued by Brother Francis. He ran a solid second against So Brilliant, and has alot of room for improvement. He's yet to break his maiden but look out for this son of Lion Heart, he has the look of a runner. Majestic City gets Ramon Dominguez to sky west, for three-quarters of a million dollars. He must like his chances. If your willing to toss his last race, then he figures in the the money. He has a pension for the Hollywood Cushion, and will probably get backed as one of the favorites at the window.Trainer, Peter Miller won this race last year, and has this runner cranked up for the race. Rousing Sermon is another who looks like he could get a piece at a price. The Hollendorfer trained son of Lucky Pulpit, will need some luck because when he come up to Liasion in the final 1/16th, he had nothing for the son of indian Charlie. These are my top 4 picks.
Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer hopes the formula that enabled Killer Graces to win the $402,000 Grade I Hollywood Starlet Saturday works again with Rousing Sermon in the $750,000-guaranteed CashCall Futurity next Saturday at Hollywood Park.   Killer Graces finished second in the Sharp ...Read More
Liaison to win CCF - He already has 3 yr. old qualities, along w/ Secret Circle is Baffert's best derby hopeful. Amazed he isn't current fav in the voting. Toss Drill as a derby prospect, unless he gets a few months off, and there isn. BB shouldn't run all his 2 year olds in one race - esp. Drill/Secret Circle should not be running IMO. There are just too many races to spread out over the few months. They may be either a little weary, or moreso precautious stretching out Secret Circle at this time. We all saw the Factor become less of leading up to the Derby, this year.
