  • Floridaf · I was just talking about that with someone, likin sparks. After Drill's Jackpot, I didn't look twice at him for today. Both should definitely be reeled back to a mile or less. · 1771 days ago
  • DeadHeat · I really do not see why they insist on having Drill contesting the pace. His best efforts have come while closing, so why the change? Liaison looks like an IC that may go long and being out of a Victory Gallop mare will only help. · 1771 days ago
I look for Empire Way to put in a better race this time out. Not sure if Majestic City can beat the BC bounce. Liaison looks strong, too.
Liason, Rousing Sermon, and Brother Francis will have big days.
Liasion, looks pretty solid in this field. I'm also intrigued by Brother Francis. He ran a solid second against So Brilliant, and has alot of room for improvement. He's yet to break his maiden but look out for this son of Lion Heart, he has the look of a runner. Majestic City gets Ramon Dominguez to sky west, for three-quarters of a million dollars. He must like his chances. If your willing to toss his last race, then he figures in the the money. He has a pension for the Hollywood Cushion, and will probably get backed as one of the favorites at the window.Trainer, Peter Miller won this race last year, and has this runner cranked up for the race. Rousing Sermon is another who looks like he could get a piece at a price. The Hollendorfer trained son of Lucky Pulpit, will need some luck because when he come up to Liasion in the final 1/16th, he had nothing for the son of indian Charlie. These are my top 4 picks.
Liaison to win CCF - He already has 3 yr. old qualities, along w/ Secret Circle is Baffert's best derby hopeful. Amazed he isn't current fav in the voting. Toss Drill as a derby prospect, unless he gets a few months off, and there isn. BB shouldn't run all his 2 year olds in one race - esp. Drill/Secret Circle should not be running IMO. There are just too many races to spread out over the few months. They may be either a little weary, or moreso precautious stretching out Secret Circle at this time. We all saw the Factor become less of leading up to the Derby, this year.
  • Cardly Knot · Sky Kingdom deserves a look Regal pedigree for maybe grass or both. Could be peaking at right time and get nice price. · 1776 days ago
On the 17th in Hollywood Park, definately Longview Drive will be the winner for Hollendorfer. I know 3 probable entries for Bob Baffert, but NO cigar.
Still backing Empire Way, though I like So Brilliant, too. I'm interested to see Sky Kingdom, though, since he's another Empire Maker colt.
  • Mary Z. · Yah, I hope that last race was just too soon after Empire Way's debut. Hope he takes after big sis again and wins his third race. · 1782 days ago
  • ghelguera · I liked the way So Brilliant won the Prevue, he ran like he will get the two turns. But I also liked the way Brother Francis ran too. Looks like he will also appreciate two turns and I think he has a big shot of winning despite being a maiden. Sky Kingdom I thought he was just a good work horse but he proved me wrong last time. This race is bringing up a ton of talent and can't wait to see Liaison too, Bafferts best horse in this race IMO. · 1782 days ago
I'll take Lucky Chappy.
My choice is Secret Circle tho.
A baffert horse will win this race.
Secret Circle hopefully will start in the Cashcall futurity. Drill is good, and he might do well on the synthetic. But two year olds are full of surprises, so you never know.
