What the Nation is saying about the 2011 Canadian International (G1)...

An already excellent year just got a whole lot better for the 15-year-old stallion Montjeu. The Coolmore stud had a great career on the racetrack with 11 wins in only 16 starts. The European champion won such big races as the 1999 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Irish Derby, Prix du Jockey Club as well a...Read More

so my selection in canadian international came exact order what i predicted on 15th october, 2011, 1.Sarah Lynx 2. Joahua Tree. , so it is 100% correct.
Sarah Lynx, the lone filly in the field of 16 for the Pattison Canadian International (Can-IT), snuck through at the rail and turned the $1,488,318 million event into a four-length romp at 22-1 odds Oct. 16 over a yielding course at Woodbine.Christophe Soumillon drove the Irish-bred 4-year-old filly...Read More
Brilliant ride from a class jockey. Soumillon rode a very savvy ride on Sara Lynx. Saving that much needed ground on the inside through the stretch. And this win didn't cost Soumillon 50,000+ pounds like his win aboard Cirrus Des Aigles in yesterday's G1 Champion Stakes at Ascot cost him for excessive use of the whip. I'll have to admit, I didn't see this coming at all? Never thought Sara Lynx would be able to beat this field of males. I had Treasure Beach-Joshua Tree-Arctic Cosmos-Redwood all boxed on a super-fecta ticket. 3 out 4 isn't bad. But as anyone who bet's racing knows, that ticket amounts to little more than toilet paper for only getting 3 right. LOL.
How many Canadian International winners have gone on to Eclipse Award titles since 1971? It turns out, quite a few, just not too many lately.Read More

  • Woodbine · mshutty: The bulky field makes it seem better, but how many of these horses belong in BC Turf? Admittedly, the big money and the G1 bring quite an eclectic bunch out of the woodwork. The International has done wonders for the Stockholm Invitational! · 226 days ago ·
