What the Nation is saying about the 2011 Bourbon (G3)...

Lucky Chappy is on the move … again. A quick peek at the stickers on his suitcase already reveal stays in Ireland, Italy, France, Maryland, Kentucky, and Florida, but it looks like the fun has only just begun for the globetrotting son of High Chaparral. • bband · I wish nothing but the best for Here Comes Frazier. And I don't pretend to be a horse trainer, but after the incident, McPeek was quoted as saying "he had always been in front so he had never been hit with the whip." Maybe this was taken out of context, but you would think that you wouldn't put a whip in a jockey's hand unless you knew what the result would be. Can any trainers answer for me.... wouldn't it be standard practice to use the whip a bit in training just to get the horse used to it? Or is it so obvious that McPeek had to have been talking about the horse never being whipped in a race? · 230 days ago ·
