  • medlocke · To start with, Switch is not just an ordinary filly that Zenyatta so often gets accused of racing. I think most people consider Blind Luck one of, it not the best 3yr.old filly in America. She'll likely be favorite for the Breeders Cup Ladies Classic. This is the same Switch that beat Blind Luck in the G2 Hollywood Oaks back in June. I'm just curious if anyone besides myself noticed what happened to Zenyatta when she cornered the final turn in the Lady's Secret yesterday? She crossed over to her left lead to go around the turn just fine. But when she straightened out, she got completely off of her correct lead. She went about 3 strides with both front legs out in front of her at the same time. If you'll watch the replay, Mike Smith immediately corrects this by slapping Zenyatta at the top of her right leg, getting her back in stride on the correct lead. She then ran down Switch with just under a furlong left. Incredible. There's not a horse racing anywhere in the world that Zenyatta can't reach down and grab a gear for to run down. IMO. · 958 days ago ·

  • mdracing69 · I have always liked Switch. I played her in the Kentucky Oaks Future Wager and am glad to see her performing well in the Graded ranks. As for Blind Luck, note that she was nominated to the Lady's Secret but did not want anything to do with Zenyatta so she skipped town and ran 2nd in Saturday's G2 Cotillion in PA. · 958 days ago ·

What do Blind Luck and Zenyatta have in common? Well they are both closers, both have won at Hollywood, have wins on both a synthetic surface as well as dirt, and both have won a mile and a quarter. Other then that, there really isn't that much more in common. Zenyatta didn't get her caree...Read More

Zenyatta has such self-assurance, such insouciance and swagger, and she's so towering that she often seems to look over and beyond her rivals prior to a race, as though they're not even there, explained her jockey, Mike Smith."She's just so full of confidence... sometimes I think she leaves the gat...Read More

  • humphrey · I use the term sucker money to an underlay that is not worth the wager straight...Often however they can be used in an exotic. QT had been challenged veruss meager pace times and really stepped up much better than I thought that one would, but coming off of putting green grass courses to a deep one is a very hard step. · 971 days ago ·

I try to temper my anticipation for the Breeders’ Cup because I know it is still almost seven weeks away, but it is not easy when I think about what will be at this year’s two-day smorgasbord. • mdracing69 · bossgw - For the record, Polytrack is Del Mar. Hollywood is Cushion Track, and Santa Anita is Pro-Ride. All three SoCal tracks have different synthetic surfaces. A quick question - How come Rachel Alexandra did not go to Oaklawn Park to run against Zenyatta in the 2010 Apple Blossom? Defending BC Classic champ Zenyatta is targeting the 2010 BC Classic at Churchill Downs on conventional dirt. If she wins the Classic again that should silence the critics. · 1011 days ago ·
