  • medlocke · Isn't this result really what we expected out of Quality Road in the Woodward Stakes. Given the little to no competition that was entered to race against him. If Quality Road hadn't strolled away from the field as emphatically as he did would've made me worry about him. · 1015 days ago ·

  • zenyatta02 · Quality Road is pretty impressive, but if you looked at Tranquil Manner who was coming up the middle of the track in the stretch, he was gaining on Quality Road, coming third by a head behind Mythical Power. Even though Pletcher says that Quality Road was coasting down the stretch, he could have done more and for that reason I'm not overly worried about him for the Classic, though he does have a bit of a chance. · 1014 days ago ·

  • humphrey · Quality Road regressed in his last but overall this one towers over this field: Indian Dance and Tranquil Manner will be coming late but the race will be over by then and if Convocation tries this one early, his tongue will be hanging out badly · 1018 days ago ·

Although Rail Trip has resumed training following a minor foot issue, he most likely won't make the $750,000 Woodward Stakes here on Sept. 4, trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. said Monday. "I don't see the Woodward, but miracles do happen," said Dutrow, who said he is really targeting the $750,000 Jockey C...Read More
On Monday, Mine That Bird worked for the first time since his fifth-place finish in the Grade 1 Whitney Handicap. With the new addition of blinkers, last year’s Kentucky Derby winner handled five furlongs in 1:00.40, handily. “We put a set of blinkers on him to get him more focused,” said Hall of Fa...Read More
