Looking for a new stallion to breed to in 2012? You may want to give a long look to my favorite turf horse of the last few years, Paddy O’Prado.Read More

  • HorseDynasty · Paddy O' Prado is one of my favorites as well. One that I was really looking forward to watching continue his career. Extremely versatile. In addition to Northern Dancer, he has Kris S on his dam's side in that generation, another stallion often considered an outstanding sire. · 166 days ago ·

  • Winplacsho · I know they aren't the only ones doing great things for the game, but they do the best job in drawing in fans to support needed services. Also, the farmcam is an awesome idea to show fans a behind the scenes point of view. Especially for a sport that is usually so secretive where the average fan is kept WAY out of the loop. · 168 days ago ·

Is it just me, that some of the horses that run in the Kentucky Derby lose their interest in racing? Please say that it is not just me. It didn't happen to Devil May Care or Sidney's Candy or Lookin at Lucky. But look at Mine That Bird and Supper Savor, has not won a race since.
  • Thead'or · Mine That Bird and Super Saver where trained at their peaks for the Derby and Triple Crown. MTB is obviously the better horse because he placed in all 3 races, but Super Saver just happened to be peaking at the right time. So that explains it. · 433 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · They should not allow horses to races until age 3 nor retire until age 5 or 6. It not only would save many of these disasterous injuries began as 2 year olds but by making them race until 5 I believe the resulting increase stakes races would bring back a lot of interest. At least more than there is now · 576 days ago ·

Taking nothing away from Super Saver, who ran a terrific race to win the Kentucky Derby, but he wasn't the best horse Saturday at Churchill Downs.
