  • medlocke · Second big stakes race in a row that Edgar Prado has got caught "napping at the wheel" so to speak. He had D' Funnybone under a hand ride coming into the stretch at Calder. By the time Prado realized Coffey Boy was sneaking through on the rail, it was far too late for the stick to do Prado any good for D'Funnybone. Similar situation in the United Nations Handicap. When Prado sat in a stalking position on Take The Points letting Get Serious, Acclamation, and Straight Story fight it out up front on the pace. Once Prado took Take The Points to the lead, passing Straight Story, he thought he was home free again. He never saw Chinchon coming either. Chinchon came with that from last to first dash like he had been shot out of a cannon. By the time Prado realized Chichon was coming, it was to late for Take The Points as well. III) July 10 at Calder Race Course. Already a five-time graded stakes winner, Paul Pompa’s D’ Funnybone will...Read More
