Whoda thunk the most action of the first day of BC 2010 would be in the MARATHON?  The race so boring people wish they’d cancel it was the scene of some crazy riding and major dumb-assery. • humphrey · This started out to be an atainable event to watch. The and second Breeder's Cups had reasonable tickets in the range of 18 dollars and you did not have to go through a lottery to get them. Now, just like the Triple Crown, you have to have an "in" to get a reasonable seat and extending it to two days dilutes its importance significantly. · 977 days ago ·

  • humphrey · Like most short sighted, quick fix, people who know nothing of the long range necessity to keep stamina in the breed, denigrating a true test of the stayer is typical lemming thinking. All major stamina test continue to lose significance IN NORTH AMERICA where the quick turnaround two year old purses are king, while the REST OF THE WORLD, THE ENTIRE WORLD of the thoroughbred stays on course in keeping the latitude of distances wide. The Ascot Gold Cup remains 20 furlongs. Without a standard, graded stakes level platform for stamina to express iitself, we will see more speed bred to speed and precosity and masses of horses never racing at four. Doom your sport short sighted idiots!! You continue to do it, why stop now??? · 977 days ago ·
