  • medlocke · It's a real shame that Global Hunter took a misstep galloping out after winning the American Handicap and broke his ankle. He gave a very solid effort to get up and win this race. IMO. It appears on the replay that he just took a bad step right when he was starting his gallop out after the wire. Similar to what happened to the filly Eight Belles. Just not on such a drastic level, thank goodness. I think it's probably pretty likely that Global Hunter's racing days are now behind him. JMO. · 693 days ago ·
