What the Nation is saying about the 2009 Mrs. Revere (G2)...

Einstein, one of the major disappointments of the 2009 Breeders' Cup when he finished 11th of 12 in the Classic last weekend at Santa Anita, could get another chance to end his racing career on a more positive note.Trainer Helen Pitts said Wednesday at Churchill Downs that Einstein is being seriousl...Read More

  • ruby · Couldn't agree more.... what a great, gutsy competitor. Einstein was the wise-guy play for many players on BC day... disappointing and strange he didn't run better... but essentially, the pace was too hot and everything came from behind in that race. · 819 days ago ·

  • Rossington · I just read a story yesterday on NTRA.com that was written and posted by Marty McGee of the Daily Racing Form. The story talk's about how Einstein is already at Churchill Down's and is working well. It also say's that just like in the Stephen Foster, Macho Again will likely face Einstein in the Clark Handicap. But the story goes on to mention Quality Road as a potential contender. Given the nature of his physical injuries, stitches in one leg, knocked out a tooth, a large hematoma on one leg, and a big bruise around one eye, plus the psychological trauma he experienced at the gate, and later trying to load him on the plane, I can't imagine Quality Road being ready or able to race this soon after the Breeders Cup. But, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Pletcher look's at it as just like riding a bike. You fall off, you get right back on. I do hope, whether in the Clark or further down the road that Quality Road does return to racing fit and sound. I really do believe that this is a colt sitting on a world of talent who's best races have yet to be seen. As for Einstein, I hope he goes out in the Clark like the true champion he's been through the year's. · 816 days ago ·

On the eve of the start of a 30-day suspension stemming from a medication violation at Churchill Downs, Rick Dutrow sent out the winner of the Mrs. Revere Stakes at this same track. Mary's Follies surged to a 9-1 upset Saturday in the Grade 2 Mrs. Revere for the same team - Dutrow and jockey Kent De...Read More
Somehow it doesn't seem fair. Hot Cha Cha just got done whipping a Grade 1 field of 3-year-old turf fillies for a $500,000 purse in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland.Four weeks later, Hot Cha Cha wheels back into what might be a more competitive - and certainly bigger - field as the ...Read More

If you thought great wagering opportunities for the year would be hard to find following last week's Breeders' Cup bonanza, think again. Saturday's $175,000 Mrs. Revere S. (G2) at Churchill Downs, the best stakes of the weekend in North America, attracted an oversubscribed field of three-year-old fi...Read More
