This was one of the Breeders Cup races that I did nail. I had a $25.00 to win ticket on Informed Decision. She's rarely been beaten period, and had never been beaten over synthetic surfaces. I didn't see the Filly & Mare Sprint being her first defeat over the surface either. Not even with Ventura in the race. Frankly, Ventura hadn't looked as sharp to me in 2009 as she did in 2008, and she had already lost to Informed Decision earlier in the year.
Informed Decision sat the garden spot trip and got the jump on defending champ Ventura in the '09 Filly & Mare Sprint. Free Flying Soul set the pace and held the show. Informed Decision (1st) - $8.80, $3, $2.80 Ventura (2nd) - $2.60, $2.20 Free Flying Soul (3rd) - $7.40 Sara Louise (4th) $1 Exacta - $7.70 $1 Trifecta - $120.60 .10 cent Superfecta - $54
