I remember our regular group of horse players plotting out our Derby wagering strategy. We anticipated a strong early pace and favored closers for the win spot. What still amazes me is that we loved Giacomo for the 2 hole of our trifectas and Superfectas and Closing Argument for the win spot. We had Affleet Alex in third and bunch of horses in fourth. Could you imagine the sheer mayhem that would have ensued at our table had the top two finishers had been flipped?
