|Shawngrey16 Best Horse right now.
|kaitlinefree1 Gentildonna will bypass the Arima Kinen & rest until next year when she is brought back at five. she is training up to the Dubai Sheema Classic.
|ILuvTurfRacing Taking nothing away from Dominant who ran a monster race in the Hong Kong Vase, but if The Fugue's ever gotten a worse ride from William Buick than sh... more got in this race I haven't seen. She was positioned perfectly early on, almost in the box seat. But why Buick allowed her to keep getting shuffled further and further back as the race progressed is a mystery to me? She should've never been in the position to have to check off the heals of Feuerblitz if she'd been ridden correctly by Buick throughout. Maybe it's fair to say Buick has ridden The Fugue well in her European races, but he hasn't ridden her well at all in two different Breeders Cup appearances and now the Hong Kong appearance being his worst ride ever on her, IMO.
|ILuvTurfRacing No dispute this time!! Sky Lantern uses that late blistering turn of foot to run down Integral to win the G1 Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket, her 3rd ... more1 win this season. Sir Michael Stoute's Integral finished in 2nd with a much improved effort from her Beverly D. Stakes flop by Duntle to finish to 3rd.

|yukichan Back-to-top-form Cirrus contends a solid Champions Stakes field. Farhh returns from the sidelines here. Ruler of the World (cutting back in distance) ... moreain Sequence, Hunter's Light. Plenty to like, but I think it will be Morandi to chase Cirrus home.
|ILuvTurfRacing Barring anything unforseen happening between now and then it looks very likely that last year's BC Juvenile Fillies Turf winner, Flotilla, will be ret... morerning to Santa Anita in November for the 2013 Breeders Cup!! According to trainer Mikel Delzangles, the only thing that's still unclear right now is whether Flotilla will be pointed at the G1 BC Mile against the boys or the G1 BC F&M Turf at 10f against her own sex? Flotilla was an impressive winner of the G1 French 1000 Guineas over a mile at Longchamp in her 2013 seasonal debut. Then she stepped up to 10-1/2f at Chantilly where she finished a disappointing 8th of 11 in the G1 Prix De Diane(French Oaks), though by most accounts she got very amped up in the paddock at Chantilly prior to that race.
|ILuvTurfRacing According to the JapanRacing.Jp web-site, Orfevre will be calling it a career and go off to stud after he runs in the G1 Arima Kinen in Japan on Decem... moreer 22nd. I was sort of hoping the connections might consider keeping Orfevre in training long enough to take a shot at the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic in late March, but you certainly can understand the decision to retire him, too. He really has no more to prove on the racetrack, as his greatness was sealed long ago.
|ILuvTurfRacing Recently read on-line the G1 Dubai Duty Free at Meydan in late March is under discussion between trainer Sir Michael Stoute and owner James Wigan as a... morepotential early 2014 season target for Dank. If she goes to Meydan and runs as well in Dubai as she did in Ireland in the G2 Kilboy Estate Stakes and in America in the G1 Beverly D. Stakes & G1 BC F&M Turf, this filly will give the boys all they want with change, IMO.

|Northport Both Ruler of the World and Leading Light will remain in training for 2014

|raifirox dose nto deserve to be on the undefeated list!

|AmbitiousD Recovering from a rear leg injury earlier than expected, Ambitious Dragon is entered in the G1 Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup on Sunday. A step back in di... moretance to 7 furlongs, has him set to face his main rival, Glorious Days, in their 5th matchup of the season and HK sprinting champion Lucky Nine. Should be a great race.

|paul.nathan.946 Couldn't watch the race but she come second by 2lengths pretty disappointing considering she was facing her own sex at Grade 3 level. Not sure how the... morerace ran but i read she had to come four wide and couldn't catch the leader who made all and won.

|paul.nathan.946 My favorite horse is back and wins well :) such a talented filly
|ILuvTurfRacing Chriselliam was much the best in this race. All week long she really has been one of the top buzz horses during her works at Santa Anita, and she show... mored today that her win in the G1 Shadwell Fillies Mile at Newmarket back in September was no fluke.

Shea Shea beat Sole Power in the listed Meydan Sprint an... more G1 Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan, but today at Ascot in the G1 King's Stand Stakes, Sole Power turns the tables on Shea Shea with an impressive late burst of speed and a great ride by Johnny Murtagh.
|ILuvTurfRacing This news is via RacingPost.com: Olympic Glory has been chosen to represent trainer Richard Hannon in the G1 Breeders Cup Mile , but his G1 winning st... moreblemate, Toronado, will remain at home after his season was declared finished today. The news comes just 24 hours after Toronado participated in a racecourse workout at Lingfield on Tuesday, the first time the G1 Sussex Stakes winner had been back to a racecourse since undergoing a procedure to aid his breathing after trailing home last in the G1 Juddmonte International Stakes at York back in August. So it looks like we'll be seeing Olympic Glory at Santa Anita but sadly no Toronado.
|yukichan I guess the Euros forgot their passports, Strong Suit tried to tell me this at the gate...
|yukichan An interesting observation. This past week, Japan has seen three talented graded stakes winners injured (2 with bowed tendons). All three are slated t... more return to racing after their 9 -12 month recovery period. WV is one with a bowed tendon. Like Excelebration is to Frankel, WV is to Orfevre. |ILuvTurfRacing How about that, sports fans!! Memphis Tennessee wins his 2012 seasonal debut in the G3 Ormonde Stakes at Chester, and buries Brown Panther by some 15 ... moreengths in the race in the process!! The same Brown Panther that won the King George V Stakes at Ascot in a romp, and was 2nd in both the G3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury and the G1 English St. Leger at Doncaster. Normally, a colt that finished 2nd in the G2 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, 4th in the G1 Epsom Derby, and 3rd in the G1 Irish Derby the way Memphis Tennessee did in 2011 would make him the top 3yr.old colt in just about any barn. But his solid efforts in those 3 races got overshadowed by Treasure Beach winning the G3 Chester Vase, G1 Irish Derby, G1 Secretariat Stakes, and G1 Epsom Derby 2nd. Good to see Memphis Tennessee finally get a solid group stakes win on his merit his way. Meaning that he wasn't having to run in a style to help set the Ormonde Stakes up for other stablemates like he was forced to do in both the Epsom and Irish Derbies last season. Really like this horse, a lot!!
|yukichan A 3rd G1 victory in a row with his win in yesterday's Winterbottom Stakes at the other Ascot in Perth. This brings Buffering's lifetime record to 38-1... more-9-5 and $4,115,900. |ILuvTurfRacing Carlton House beaten like a drum in his first start down under in the G2 Ajax Stakes over 7-1/2f at Rosehill racetrack in Sydney, Australia. He finish... mored 13th of 18 in the race.
|ILuvTurfRacing This is a horse that as a 3yr.old in 2011 for Coolmore/Ballydoyle finished 2nd in the G2 Dante Stakes at 10-1/2f, 2nd in the G1 Irish Derby and G1 Gra... mored Prix De Paris at 12f, 3rd in the G2 Great Voltigeur Stakes at 12f, and 4th in the G1 English St. Leger at 14-1/2f. So Coolmore sell Seville to new owners to go race in Australia and they send him out first time at 8f where he finishes 4th and at 7f the second time where he finishes 10th. Sorry, but you're just not ever going to turn a horse who needs 12f to be seen to best effective into an Australian sprinter. But a lot of the trainers in that country are so geared to training horses for sprint distances that I sometimes wonder if they'd know a real middle distance horse like Seville obviously is if it bit them square in the a$$.

|ILuvTurfRacing I gotta throw out some major kudos to this horse. 2013 makes Musir's 4th different Dubai Carnival appearance, and though this year may not be the best... morewe've ever seen Musir at Meydan, he's still showing that hugely competitive nature he's always had. He came into this year's carnival from a layoff of nearly 10 months, plus a failed attempt at stud. Any trainer will tell you there's never anyway of knowing what to expect from a horse who's been reactivated to race after being in the stud barn. Thrown into G2 company right out of the gate he runs 4th in his 2013 debut in the G2 Al Fahidi Fort, and it took a mighty performance from Trade Storm to run Musir down in the late stages of the G2 Zabeel Mile in his second race. This horse really is a class act. If they decided to put Musir back into retirement again tomorrow this horse owes nobody a thing.
