It's been awhile since posting a play but this first timer at Will Roger Downs caught my eye. The chalk in this race will be #2 South Tulsa County. He has the speed to win but doesn't have much heart. If he doesn't get challenged, we wins... but I think there are a few first timers in here that are capable of wearing him down early before they all cough it up late. #8 Cherokee Quest is one of the few first timers in here that has not been working from the gate. That's a very positive sign among cheap horse flesh. In addition, his breeding suggests that this colt is a "win early" type. I also like the fact that his last work was at 5 furlongs...while most of the others concluded with 4 furlong works.
Nice full field here, so let's go for a decent score. I'll wager $50 win on #8 Cherokee Quest and then wheel him in second place in a trifecta like this:
