Tuesday's 6th race from Turf Paradise is a $13,000 Allowance event for 2-year-old fillies which have never won two races. They will be dashing six furlongs on the main track.

#2 Flashy Prize (4-1) has run well in all four starts including a romping local maiden win and a wide place finish vs. this kind last time. Her connections are easy to like and the addition of blinkers may help her focus better. She could sit the right tactical trip at a hint of a price.

The Plays:

$12 to win, $18 to place #2

odds told all to back away. No value there, even the exotic
That's back-to-back Mon-Tues. sweeps. This one was bet down and paid $5.80.
After scratches they come out 9,2,10,1
O.K. here we go again...2 y.o.'s...my worst subject. But a puzzle is a puzzle...although this does not seem to be a race with much value! But we will give it a shot. Contenders after scratches...1a, 9, 2, and 4. Although the #9 She's a Go Girl will be tough and might win. I will take a shot with the 1a, Pine Ridge...left standing after the scratch of the #1. This is a favorite ploy I've seen time and time again when one part of the entry is scratched and the other is overlooked, it wins. Play 1a Pine Ridge (8/1) to win. Exactas...1/all. Tri...1/9, 2, 10, 3/ all. Good luck!!!
Before scratches contenders are: 9 She's a Go Girl 2 Flashy Prize 3 Leona Pegasus 10 Tebowmania odds dictate the wager.
Never know where to put these comments so they will have to go here where a suggested bet is to be made. Micheal Pizzolla, a well established and well known handicapper and educator, suggests that all wagerers do a simple thing: LEARN yourself. YOU are often the weak link in your ability to make rational logical wagers but if you do not have a handle on where your strengths and weaknesses REALLY are, and not just assume you know, one will continue to go to battle with unknown strengths and weaknesses. KEEP A SIMPLE DIARY of where you bet, logical behind the bet, what kind of race did you evaluate, how many contenders did you isolate. Then when they have run, go back and see if your evaluation garned the contenders or not, and if your wagering captured the winner or winners if you played an exotic. You will learn so good and bad things about yourself: what KIND of race do you excel or do poorly on, what tracks do you do well at? etc etc. Without feedback, HONEST feedback, you continue to guess and this game is an expensive way to do that long term. Excel is the best way to follow this right on your computer. Race evaluation coming up soon.
