Back to winning ways today, beating Creggs Pipes by 3 1/2 lengths in the G3 Fairy Bridge Stakes!
Happy to see Frosted gets some new challengers. Moob and Samraat were both pulled from the Whitney. Bradester also conceivably can get HOTY if he somehow beats Frosted and goes on to the BCC. Also nice to see Comfort again but at 9, not 10 I don't see Comfort having a shot especially if Frosted runs his normal closing style. Bradester is the main threat here.
2015 BC Sprint winner Runhappy returned to the worktab this morning at Keeneland. Going 3F in 34 4/5. Trainer Laura Wohlers says if all goes well. Runhappy could make his four year old debut in the G3 Ack Ack at Churchill Downs with a possible start In the BC Dirt Mile.
It will be Governor Malibu by a nose to exaggerator and 2 furlongs back to American freedom
2015 Futurity Stakes winner Annual Report will make his 2016 debut in an allowance race at Saratoga this Saturday in race 3.
Kiaran McLaughlin announces that Frosted, who posted a 48.97 workout this morning at Greentree Training Center, is on track to make his next start in the G1 Woodward Stakes at Saratoga next Saturday.
http://www.drf.com/news/hovdey-bittersweet-memories-shared-beliefs-day That is an article on DRF about the ceremony. I am thankful that they have named a Stakes race after our sweetness. From the article " Later in the meet, there will be a private ceremony to bury Shared Belief’s ashes in the Del Mar infield alongside the grave of Native Diver, the Hall of Fame gelding whose 37th and final victory came in the 1967 Del Mar Handicap. Nine days later, he was dead after an attack of colic."
We are all rooting for you Lady Eli! So glad you are the champ you are and defeated that damn laminitis. Go get them you pretty filly!! Safe ride
1 - Summer Revolution 2. - Tom's Ready 3. Jazzy Times
Frosted should go in the mile...its a good distance for him..and why bother facing Chrome in the classic...he cant beat Chrome...smart move is take his chances in the mile
Excited to see this one run Saturday night at Delmar for her 1st start. LB's half brother Ten Blessings was a 1st out winner at the Winter Santa Anita meet for the same connections. Life's Blessing has had some really quick works for this including a 58 + change breeze in her last. She'll have to show speed from the inside which her mother should have passed on. Some good one's in the field including a Hollendorfer filly with a similar quick 5f drill.
Upstart's probable for the Kelso! It appears his connections have realized their G1 ambitions at classic distances are futile and if they put their horse down in class, like they did in the Razorback, Upstart could pick up some wins. I think Upstart's got a fine chance to win the Kelso (although as we all know Point Piper looked great his last time out) and be a serious BCDM. I had a weird dream about Upstart winning the BCC in 1.57.60 a few weeks back so maybe a win in the Kelso will just get his connections over confident again(which is exactly what happened when he won the Razorback).
Go for Wand was very good, not yet great, only met a buzz saw that she could not get around and UNFORTUNATELY, gave her life trying to beat her. Wasn't going to happen that or any other day that season.
His ashes are going to be buried in the infield at Del Mar in Friday. That sounds very moving and fitting.
What happened to all the comments on this page? All the many comments and tributes after Shared Belief died? I came here to share the news about Shared Belief's ashes being buried at Del Mar field as part of his inaugural Stakes race on Friday and all I see are 6 comments from 2 years ago? What an outrage!
I'm going to be watching for sure! I'm so glad that there is a Stakes race named after our dear Shared Belief.
It's so sad that he is deceased. He was only horse which Chrome doesn't have a chance. Maybe if he will be still alive Chrome fans will be more polite and shut up with criticize every horse which "amazing Chromie" beats.
  • BeastBob via Disqus · "Was" is the keyword. Right now, the numbers say that Chrome is at least 2.5 lengths faster than Shared Belief ever was. · 16 hours ago
Any word on Frosted???? Where he's going??
  • RealTalk via Disqus · probably the breeders cup mile..he prob wont run the the classic..they know he has no chance vs the top horses..he proved his whole career he can run with the TOP horses..so they should stick to lower class horses like his last 2 races...but prob the breeders cup mile · 17 hours ago
