Saturday's 10th race (4:40pm ET) from Tampa Bay Downs is the Grade 3 Endeavour Stakes for fillies and mares traveling a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course.
#9 Master Shade (8-1) is the value play. The Graham Motion trainee is 4-for-6 on turf and owns an ascending numbers pattern. She won the final two races of her 2011 campaign including a sharp minor Stakes tally at Aqueduct in November. The 4yo filly runs well fresh and Motion excels with this type of returnee.
#4 Zagora (2-1) is only 1-for-6 in the US/Canada but her win was accomplished in the G1 Diana and she placed in four other Graded turf routes. She beat today's rival #10 Keertana (3-1) in the G3 Hillsboro off a layoff here last March but has bigger fish to fry and won't offer much value.
Keertana is a multiple Graded winner making her first start in more than eight months. She kicked off her 2011 campaign with a local turf tally but probably wants more ground and might need the race.
The Plays:
$20 to win #9
$6 Exacta Box 4-9 ($12)
$4 Exacta Box 9-10 ($8)
