Today’s eleventh race (2/2) at Tampa Bay Downs is the 33rd running of the $250,000 Gr. III Sam F. Davis.  This race will consist of three year olds running a mile and a sixteenth over the dirt.

Taking off from the four hole is Bill Motts My Name Is Michael (4-1).  The Macho Uno colt will be trying dirt for the first time in his career as his first four starts have come over the synthetic surface at Woodbine.  My Name Is Michael has had some nice works as of late and will have Joel Rosario in the saddle.

#1a – Dynamic Sky (9-5) is the morning line favorite and will be looking for back-to-back wins the first time in his career.  The Mark Casse trainee has five starts in his career and has hit the board in every race beside the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile back on November 3rd

#3 – Divine Ambition (8-1) will be running his first route for trainer Darrin Miller today.  The Divine Park colt finished third last time out in the Pasco when he ran into Dynamic Sky.  Willie Martinez will get the mount.

#8 – Falling Sky (5-1) is also making his first route appearance for trainer John Terranova.  The Lion Heart colt has two wins from three starts and will be looking for number three today.

My Name is Michael looked like he rank a little green in the race at times and I don't know why he was kept at the back of the pack.He still finished with decent energy..
My Name is Michael was just a little to far back. Came on nice at the end though. One to keep an eye on for sure. Exacta saved me here.
Wide open race as the Sam F. Davis often is. I like Midnite Poppa to get a perfect trip off the pace and take a big step forward for the victory. I'm putting $20 win/place on him.

I expect Dynamic Sky to win.
Woodbine poly is like no other...It is the closest to dirt of any of the polytracks surfaces and all credit goes to the crew who keep it in great shape.

I like him as well. Hopefully he will handle dirt.
I like this horse in here also.. Only question mark is how he will take to the surface since his only 4 starts are on the all-weather surface at Woodbine. I think he has the talent to win here . Good luck in your plays.
