Tuesday's 8th race (4:40pm ET) from Suffolk Downs is a $19,000 entry level Allowance event for 3-year-olds and up traveling one mile on the turf course.

#1 Step Brother (6-1) has fired Exacta shots in his last four tries on turf and new rider Jacqueline Davis is 7 for her last 20 here. He projects a cozy tactical trip from the hedge and should offer a hint of value.

#7 Kill the Messenger (5-2) had his 2-race win streak snapped with a rallying show finish at 6f here July 27. Discreet Cat is a 15% first turf sire and Tami Piermarini has booted this one home twice and is 7-for-10 with this barn recently.

The Plays:

$18 to win #1

$6 Exacta Box 1-7

wow EXACTA but it may not stay up long, but then I have the 10 to win in the Dutch as well
Horrible ride and the 9 overcame it to get there first
Not a race I would bet too much on but contenders are : 9 A. V. Jordan 7 Killthemessenger 11 Quad's Double 9 A. V. Jordan 10 Jacob's Dream
Difficult track and race. Contenders before scratches: #1, 11, 6, 7. The #7 Kill the Messenger (5/2) is the legitimate favorite and the horse to beat. However, a classier horse that will be totally overlooked based on its last race with a ridiculous ML is the #6 Wild Kiss (20/1). Take a stab on the #6 at 10/1 or better. Exacta as a place bet...1, 11, 7/6. Good luck!!!
I like Wild Kiss in this one. Probably play a little on her to place and show.
and of course NONE of those bets are accounted in your overall ROI or hit rate....as we all know
I've bet Suffolk this summer a little bit, because Cocoa/Sullivan likes the racing there..... I'll tell ya, I suck at Suffolk. It's not ever worth giving my opinion, but for what it's worth, I like #7 Kill the Messenger. Good luck, Jarrod.
