it's nice to see these Saratoga stake races featured on NBC sports channel,a really nice field lines up for this years Whitney,as a racing fan you can't ask for much more than this,(the 1 hour show is from 5:00 to 6:00 EST) heres my take.

#5.RON THE GREEK(6-1)-2nd to Fort Larned in this last year,i just have to go with my favorite trainer Bill Mott in a big SPA stakes race at a fair price.rain in the forecast is a plus.

#3.FORT LARNARD(7-5)-given 6 weeks off after impressive win in last, defending champ will be a short price but may be the best dirt horse in the country, hard to pick against him.

#6.ALPHA(10-1)-hasn't hit the board since winning(dead heat) the Travers here last year, but loves this track and picks up top jock Joel Rosario.wake up call today?

#1.SUCCESSFUL DAN(12-1)-lightly raced 7 year old has a high win % ,can run on or off the pace and has been working bullets here, lots to like at 12-1.

$2.00 Trifecta keys    3,5 with 1,6 with 3,5  ($8.00) and 3,5 with 3,5 with 1,6 ($8.00) $16.00 total play

as a horse racing fan this race is what it's all about,i can't wait to see what happens.

Hadn't seen your picks in a while, Ace. I didn't post today, for this race's field came up too short. But, good luck on your picks. As well as you know, I normally like to take a stab at the bombs. I probably would side with Successful Dan. Got squeezed in his last race against Fort Larned. Record is 8-for-13 career, and 12-1 has a little harmony to it. See ya' at the Cashier's window!!!!
Thxs for the picks Ace...Good Luck!
