Sunday's 10th race (5:56PM) from Saratoga is the Grade 1 Personal Ensign for
fillies and mares traveling a mile and a quarter on the main track.
#4 Life At Ten (5-2) has rattled off six straight and she
beat today’s rival Miss Singhsix in 2 of her last 3 Graded wins. She handled
this distance with ease at Delaware
last time and I love her early-pressing versatility and winning spirit. Note
that Life At Ten easily beat Unrivaled Belle in the June 12 Odgen Phipps
(G1) and Rachel Alexandra lost to that one at Churchill in April.
#1 Miss Singhsix (10-1) is a grinding Grade 3 winner in decent form. The
long-winded miss has a realistic chance to take part in the Exacta if Rachel or
Life At Ten fail to show up and she would appreciate a contested pace as well.
#2 Rachel Alexandra (2-5) has not run in a Grade 1 race
since the ’09 Woodward here last September. She has been beaten by inferior
horses in 2 of her 4 starts this year and will not offer any value in this
spot. Ten furlongs should give her a stamina test and Life At Ten is the
probably best mare she has faced this season.
