Sunday's 9th race (4:37pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is a Maiden Special Weight event for CA-bred or sired 3-year-olds and up traveling one mile on the turf course. 

#7 Real Heat (4-1) ran well in blinkers vs. similar local turf rivals in his last pair and stretches back out 3rd off the shelf. Bejarano sticks and he can pounce on these if he stalks like he did in his last two.

#1 In a Wine Tizzy (3-1) set swift splits and was collared late in his last two local flat mile turf outings vs. this kind. The fractions should be quick again and he will take them as far as he can under Maldonado.

#6 Super Ability (5-2) has speed to burn and tried two turns and turf for the first time. Dam has tossed a grass winner and Gaines excels first turf.

#11 Warren's Nicholas (8-1) rallied for the show and finished 1.25 lenths behind In a Wine Tizzy here Feb. 9. He gets pace to chase and can land a share under Talamo.

I always like these situations when I have two opinions in a race. My top Real Heat failed to deliver but my 9-1 underneath key Warren's Nicholas was along to complete my suggested Exacta with Super Ability. Not a bad profit considering my top flopped!
I re-analyzed the race and come up with the #1 In A Wine Tizzy (3/1)...not much of a price, but horse will be very dangerous. Good luck!!!
3-1-7-10..... Good luck Jarrod. I'm really intrigued by the #3 at a long price. Made up ground. Has a faster compared to field, so should stalk. Should love extra ground and his second start means more experience.... LONG SHOT worth playing is #3, IMO. #1 has legit shot here.
Contenders: #7, 1, 6, 10. The #7 Real Heat and the #10 are the class horses of the race. The #1 is the dangerous closer. I like the #7 to win at 4/1 or better. Exacta...7/all (hoping for a long shot to come in second). Tri...7/ 1, 6, 10, 5/all. Good luck!!

Nice analysis Jarrod. I love these MSW TURF races. At a price I like #3 - Alkaray (12-1) stretching out after a troubled start in his (downhill) debut, plus Victor stays on.
