Cat Burglar sits dream trip in Santana Mile

$30.00

Sunday's 7th race (3:34pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is the $75,000 Santana Mile for 4-year-olds and up traveling one mile on the main track.

#4 Cat Burglar (7-2) might sit the garden spot stalking trip under Martin Garcia. The fresh colt has upside with only five races under his belt and seems best in two turn dirt races.

Play Sunday’s Santa Anita Park games at DerbyWars.com.

#2 Appealing Tale (5-2) shoots for a local flat mile wire job hat trick. He is fast, sharp, and fresh.

#5 Fury Kapcori (7-5) has enjoyed aggressive handling in his last pair under Bejarano. He has always been highly regarded and is clearly on the right track for Hollendorfer.

The Plays:

$18 to win #4

$6 Exacta 4/2-5 ($12)

Agreed. Only reason I even wagered was because I was hoping the 2 favorites would duel themselves into submission. They didn't so the race panned out as it should, hence the terrible payouts.

He definitely seems to be figuring it all out lately. I thought there was no way we'd see a 23 and change opening quarter.
That is one big beauty. I was a bit afraid to pet him.
happy. Late too, lol.

Sorry, that is Sully.
He might, suuly, if his feet are back to normal. Certainly good enough to wreck Fury's day.
I agree with cognibene. Clubhouse ride gets the perfect setup and gets back to his winning ways.
It will be if Fury doesn't win, parasite.
Is the Word of the Day DRAMA QUEEN?
Hope the title of this contest has nothing to do with the awful winds of the same name that plagued our lives when I grew up there.
5 2 7 3 after the scratch
Cat Burglar scratched. I am interested to see how Clubhouse Ride fares in this spot. He is reportedly using this race as a prep for the Charles Town Classic.
5 Fury Kapcori 2 Appealing Tale 7 Clubhouse Ride 3 For Cash 5 out near the front then 7 2 3 come later
Correction: Clubhouse Ride is the #7!
To the fans that subscribe to this blog. It is important to realize that these suggestions are subject to flaws depending on scratches, trainer objectives and jockey tactics during the race. Therefore criticisms should be restricted to the plays and the reasonings behind them. With that being said...Contenders before scratches are: #2, 4, 7, 5, 6. The favorite #5 Fury Kapcori (7/5) is legitimate. However, I think the race sets up for the #5 Clubhouse Ride, third off a lay off (usually horse's best effort), coming to form and with all the late speed. Long shot is the #6 Get Happy Mister (8/1) shipping in but has won a non graded stakes at OP. Good luck!!!
