Today's Racing Digest's Santa Anita Play of the Day

Mike Mitchell held Squallcreek out for his jail term and yet jumps him 10 points on the Digest class scale.  The frontrunner is three races into his current campaign after having been off nine months and should be fit now, especially after Mitchell put four works into him.  Catch him to win.  Big Wig was able to run him down Feb 15 and is improving for the red-hot Mullins.  He might be able to collar the likely pacesetter again.  Patch of Blue has been away 13 months and is put up for sale for the first time.  It appears that Mandella is giving up on him following the layup, as it took him five months of training just get him started again.  Still, he may come flying.  Pleasure to Ride seems to have tailed off a bit of late and is down in class again, but did show some signs of life Feb 26 and his Oak Tree form would make him a winner.

CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Zappa :23.0 - Patch of Blue :23.7 - Pleasure to Ride :23.8
