Thursday's 8th race (4:36pm PT) from Santa Anita Park is a $20,000 Maiden Claiming event for fillies and mares dashing six furlongs on the main track.

#4 Subtle Greek (6-1) has hit the board in all three local sprint starts vs. this kind and her early-pressing speed should play well in this spot. She removes the hood and should offer value in her 3rd race off the shelf.

#6 Warren's Performer (7-2) exceeded the winning par for this in a runner-up effort off the shelf as the beaten favorite vs. similar Jan 6. Barn does fine work 2nd off the shelf and she is an obvious prominent throughout threat.

#8 Creston Cutie (9-2) rallied for the place in 3 of 4 career sprints and Rosario strings along. Art Sherman is 4-for-7 at the meet.

#10 Babessa (4-1) dueled and folded off the layoff here Jan 6. She drops 2nd off the claim and Bejarano sticks with the outside tactical rebound threat.

The Plays:

$18 to win #4

$1 Trifecta 4-6/4-6-8-10/4-6-8-10
