I have decided to go against my "Play of the Day" curse, I have only hit one out of five play of the day's but here it goes, BTW, my plays will change slightly depending on the odds:
One thing I noticed is 3 out of the 7 horses are coming off long layoffs. I generally don't take horses in Graded Stakes off a long layoff. #2 DRILL- He is second off a layoff, and ran a decent fourth last out in the Malibu. I think seven panels is more for him though, not six. I think he could hit the board possibly. #5 COMMA TO THE TOP- He enjoys Santa Anita and his front running style should be beneficial for him. He'll go the lead and take then as far as he can, for as long as he can. He'll have to fight with Private Zone though. #6 PRIVATE ZONE- He will also go to the front, and not look back. Will be a real battle up front. He came in a strong second to Jimmy Creed last out. #7 JUSTIN PHILLIP- The pace should help him. He might be late at six panels, but might hit the board, or possibly better. He was only four lengths behind Trinniberg last out in the BC sprint.
PLAYS: $8 Win, $12 Place $12 Show on #6 Private Zone
Exacta Box: 2-5-6, and 5-6.
Overall:$40 bet.
